About Us

The Dr. W. B. Mitchell, Sr. Education Project was inspired by the principled and extraordinary life of the Late Dr. W. B. Mitchell, Sr., who was a quintessential Pastor, Husband, Father, Leader, and Visionary. 

The WBMEP, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist in the transition of at risk individuals from negative dependency to independence and self-sufficiency via educational training and efficacy.

For instance, the WBMEP, Inc. will provide the necessary tools to ensure the success of the participants and to enable students (traditional and non-traditional)  to develop educationally, spiritually, financially and vocationally through a plethora of services that will be a blend of both goal driven and self-paced activities. This organization will also provide financial support to students who are in need of assistance for higher education scholarships, endowments including but not limited to GED and reading programs.

With 40 years of experience in International Banking Operations, Risk Support and Client Services at SunTrust Bank and Equifax Inc., Sandra’s repertoire of professional skills and business acumen have been fundamentally instrumental in launching the WBMEP, Inc. organization. Sandra endeavored with the support of her family and friends to expand the legacy of her late father by developing an organization with a mission to build educational partnerships and programs throughout the community and beyond. In addition, the programs are to assist traditional and non-tradition students to become self sufficient through GED initiatives, life skills, career development and financial scholarships all dedicated in her father’s honor.
